The Elmia Agriculture Innovation Award recognises new and innovative technology in agriculture and livestock production that meets specific needs within the agricultural sector and creates opportunities for greater precision, efficiency and improved animal welfare. To be awarded gold, a product must be new to the market, be based on a new technical solution and contribute to the development of Swedish agriculture. Silver is awarded to products that the jury considers particularly outstanding among the nominated entries, based on an overall assessment of the criteria.

Below is an overview of the innovations from companies with which Agtech Sweden collaborates that have been awarded gold or silver in the Elmia Agriculture Innovation Award 2026:

Gold

Product: DeLaval Flow-Responsive™ Milking
Company: DeLaval Sales AB

DeLaval Flow-Responsive™ Milking has been developed to make milking more individually tailored by regulating the vacuum separately at each teat end. The product is designed to provide a smoother and more controlled milking process, reduce stress on the teats and, at the same time, contribute to faster milking, better animal health and increased efficiency.

Product: Kubota DSX-W GEOSPREAD TIM
Company: Kverneland Group

The Kubota DSX-W GEOSPREAD TIM automates settings that would otherwise often need to be adjusted manually when spreading mineral fertiliser. Using TIM technology, the implement can control the tractor’s functions and automatically adjust the working height, angle and spreading rates in response to variations in the field. This can contribute to greater spreading precision, more efficient use of resources and a reduced workload for the operator.

Product: TriForce II-såbill
Company: Väderstad

The further development of the TriForce II seed coulter is intended to provide even coulter pressure and a consistent sowing depth, even when conditions vary. This can create greater precision in sowing and more efficient cultivation results.

Silver

Product: Kverneland Alentix
Company: Kverneland Group

The Kverneland Alentix is designed to ensure more even fertiliser spreading thanks to a centred metering orifice that creates a stable flow of material, even when the driving speed and application rate vary. This can improve precision and create better conditions for a more efficient supply of plant nutrients.

Product: SprayWithCare
Company: SprayWithCare

In plant protection work, weather conditions are crucial to achieving good results while minimising the risk of drift. Operators often need to take several factors into account at the same time in order to comply with current legal requirements.

Awards ceremony at Elmia Agriculture

The awards will be presented on 15 October 2026 as part of the Elmia Agriculture trade fair. Agtech Sweden will be present throughout the fair and is organising the Innovation Arena in collaboration with Elmia. There, visitors can learn about new technology and innovative solutions that can contribute to more sustainable and efficient agriculture.

About the jury for Elmia Agriculture Innovation Award

The nominated entries and medal winners are selected by a jury. In the initial assessment, the product’s novelty is evaluated to determine which entries proceed as nominees. The nominees are then assessed based on the following criteria: novelty, environmental impact, working environment, product quality, animal welfare and economic viability.

The 2026 jury consists of:

  • Charlotte Önnestedt, Åby Storgård
  • Per Frankelius, Linköping University
  • Mikael Gilbertsson, RISE
  • Helena Torkelsson, Växa Sverige AB
  • Rebecca Johansson, Land Lantbruk
  • Johannes Hansson, Elmia Lantbruk

Per Frankelius has not taken part in any jury decision where there has been a formal connection to the candidates.

The product descriptions are based on information from the Elmia Agriculture website.
